For the firts time in fifteen years it happened that haute couture collection is not designed by John Galliano.This time Dior unveiled its fall 2011 couture garments at the Musée Rodin few days ago by design team, led by Bill Gaytten and his assistant Susanna Venega, was inspired by former Dior designer Marc Bohan’s creations. Juxtaposing whimsical prints and vibrant hues, the collection hit a number of references from Dior archives to bohemian chic in the form of floor length dresses.

For the fall 2011 season, Gaultier created garments which juxtaposed sophistication and whimsy with lightweight feathers, rebellious leather and fur accents. Referencing previous collections as well as producing some new tricks, the French designer offered his own brand of couture with the grandiose showing.
